HART TO HART COMMUNITY GARDEN

ABOUT US

Located in the vibrant and historic neighborhood of Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn is a thriving green space lovingly cared for by volunteer gardeners.

The Hart to Hart Community Garden at 104-108 Hart Street (between Marcy and Tompkins Ave) was once just a pile of rubble.  This City owned land sat vacant and derelict for decades before a small group of neighbors took it upon themselves to start digging in 1995. It is now home to over 40 members of diverse backgrounds who grow a variety of produce and flowers, raise bees and chickens, collect rainwater, and host events throughout the growing season.

This garden is a member of GreenThumb NYC.
